"Came up with this for something different for dinner during phase 2 of the diet. Technically soy sauce isnt in the protocol because it does contain a very small amount of sugar. I didnt mind adding such a small amount, but if you are stricly following the protocol you can substitute Bragg's Amino's for the soy sauce. (I just didnt want to drive to the nearest big city to find a health food store that sells Bragg's) This site lists total sugar in this recipe as 4.5 grams, however the soy is the only thing that has even a trace of sugar in it, and my bottle of Kikkoman Low Sodium says 1gram total carb for a full tbsp of soy sauce, so this site is incorrect (as it does average for national brands)"

 1. This was great! I took a second look because of the cabbage/chicken combo - I had them in the fridge, but I made it because a review said filling and I was hungry! Use the Bragg's Amino Acids as a sub for the soy sauce - Deee-lish! Thank you!

 2. Tried this recipe tonight and like others, I added my own stuff. I chopped up some fresh ginger and garlic, tossed in a few red pepper flakes and used spicy brown mustard. This is sooo flavorful, my boyfriend and I were craving more after. Can't wait to make this again.

 3. Although I am not on HCG I am counting calories and needed a low calorie lunch. This was so good. I did use Tamari soy sauce (it has no sugar and is in most stores). I liked it so much I had to put another cabbage on my grocery list so I could make it again. Thank you for the recipe.

 4. Came across this and am SO glad. Delicious! Filling! Would have been perfect with some Sriracha but no no! We did try some franks on it and that was good. Next time I might try spicy brown mustard and/or the red pepper flakes I've seen suggested here. We will have this again and again and are so grateful for the new tasty HCG recipe!

 5. Yummy, I tripled the recipe. I added a grated clove of garlic and some ginger. I also added a little more spicy brown mustard and pepper flakes. Can't wait to have it again. Thanks for such a tasty HCG meal.

I am a mother of 2 young kids, one of which is picky. I came to the 'Zaar looking for new ways to prepare foods to try and get my family to eat healthier. I am proud to say both my picky one and my picky husband are eating a lot more vegtables and liking them! I love to collect cookbooks (don't we all) because I am always on the hunt for yummy new recipes. When I find a recipe I love, it goes on a 4x6 card and into my recipe box for future use. Since I like trying new things, the recipe has to be pretty special for me to hang on to it. I would say a good 90% of what I make I like, but just not enough for it to be THE recipe. I am generally not a picky eater, I like most things, but am just always on the look out for something different. I want us to eat healthier and have been preparing healthier foods, but we do enjoy the occasional bad meal. :) I am trying to do a couple all veggie dinners each week, a couple nights of fish, and the rest of the week is a toss up with chicken filling in the majority of the time.
