I love pancakes, like I’m seriously in a deep and committed relationship with them.

But I’m also in a committed relationship with chocolate, so today this post is completely dedicated to the best recipe/tutorial ever.

But not the sad, ugly variety. No, I’m talking about the fluffy huge pancake, the pile high one, the one that you dream with and that looks straight out of a pancake commercial and tastes just like perfection and cozy mornings

Now jokes aside, these pancakes are out of this world good. They are super duper fluffy (and they don’t lose the flufiness once you take them out of the fire) and they have a mild chocolate flavor.

You can definitely amp up the chocolate by adding 1 tablespoon of cacao powder. However I recommend to stay with the original recipe or the chocolate flavor would be too overpowering (no Bueno for toppings) but if you are not a topping person, or are a serious chocoholic then add that cacao baby!

These pancakes make the perfect treat for a special morning, like Christmas morning, or the morning after New Years Eve or a Birthday morning or you know a “you rock” kind of morning.

Either way they are so delicious they are perfect for every situation, even as a dinner! (because we all know that there is nothing more awesome than eating breakfast food for dinner)

Making this chocolate pancakes is seriously easy, like “oh my gosh this is so easy” kind of easy, so this tutorial is going to be super easy too.

I highly recommend following this recipe to a T. Would love to say that I have a logic explanation behind the way these ingredients in these ratios are just the best, but truth is I don’t have it, I just know this works too good to change it, so let’s get diving into how to make chocolate pancakes

Step 1:

Gather your ingredients: Flour, baking powder, sugar, eggs, International Delight Hot Chocolate, vegetable oil

Step 2:

Mix together the eggs, milk and sugar. Add the dry ingredients

Step 3:

Ligtly oil a pan (I used spray oil to do so) and pour some batter. Cook until you have tiny bubbles on top and with the help of a spatula turn it.

Step 4:

Remove from the pan, repeat with the rest of the batter and then pile and top with tiny marshmallows.

Also it’s just kind of mandatory to serve it with a cup of hot chocolate and tiny marshmallows on top (because tiny marshmallows make everything waaay better).

For the hot chocolate I used International Delight Hot Chocolate.

Just heat it (over the stovetop or in the microwave) and pour it in a mug.

Decorate with little marshmallows and that’s it.

Restaurant style hot chocolate in no time.
