I used an Orb of Regret on my bnet account and Diablo 3 is still installed on my computer. What gives? Did i do something wrong? Should i have doubled it? Serious though. Why do people value Orbs of Regret so much? Maybe it is because i am just playing hardcore, but my thinking is anyone who can make it past level 70 probably doesn't regret any of their build. Then i thought very smart players would have a 2 spec build. Like spec what is best up to level 50, then start using orbs/respec points to achieve the end game build they had planned all along. We get a lot of respec points though. I have found 5 so far (1 char up to 38 before Piety showed me who was boss and a second char who just finished act 1). If my previous luck in life is any indication, i am at or below the average. Which tells me these are valuable for their use. So: Are Orbs of Regret just a tax smart players impose on players who make bad decisions? Are they so valuable because of the respecing at ~50 like i was originally thinking? Do people just like to try new spice later on? PS. Before you answer just imagine a $50 supporter title under my name. Had i known then what i know now.... |

" This part confuses me. I'd say the orbs of regret are for people who plan a build or make a choice and find that it doesn't function as they had thought with the rest of their build. You can do all the planning you want and then go to use and it doessn't work quite as well as you had hope so you can make a change in another direction. Vengeance of the Fallen |

Some people also keep a lot of Orbs of Regret to change 10 or even 20 points to make their build more end-game viable when they reach the map levels. I need more purple titles |

orbs of regret have lots of value in HC because people who dont fully plan their spec find that they have wasted a few points which can be easily saved, or they were trying to scroll and clicked on a skill point by accident, and the example that you used it true to when people need some repecs because they want to change their spec IGN: iHeartLGz |

" Does that happen often enough to go over the respec points given though? And it was because i only learned this game was supporting after i played it, which is now to late to get a supporter title :( |

They are expensive because NPCs sell them for 2 orbs of scouring (8 jewellers), and because they have about the same rarity as Chaos Orbs. |

Lots of people regret their builds, so want to change them but not put in the time required to get to a high level again. In saying that, it took me around 36 hours to get to level 50 and I was mucking around a bit, so its probably just easier to reroll :) From how valuable they are it really doesn't make sense to reroll a whole build with them! |

kinda off topic but in suggestions somewhere now. i suggested that they add post launch support tittles that calc ur total ever spent post launch. that way ppl could see who is continuing to support the game everyone is playing. I myself followed this game here and there but never knew about the support thing :( awell to late. but i have given them a decent amount of money already since i started playing. I dont know what you think is 'a lot' in regards to orb of regret. However, at the shop (NPC) you can sell orbs of regret for orbs of alchemy at a 1:1 ratio, that is why I value orbs of regret. To me their value is exactly the same as an orb of alchemy |
